two days and freaking counting

so this is my life right now. packing isnt going so bad. im kinda worried that i might not be bringing enough, but i know when i get there all im going to want to do is buy scarves. and thanks to nini, that might happen. THANK YOU NINI. the toughest part my be the playlistssssssssss. which im working on right now, and loving. any suggestions?

i also went to salvation army today, not a bad trip. i snagged two pretty nice blazers, considering my mothers alteration lady pretty much stole mine. one is black and a bit heavy and double breasted, the other is a nice weight, black, long, and fitted. I also got a silk leapord print blouse, and some pretty sweet embroidary art. ill try to post it before i leave. if not, ill work on my wall arrangement and do a room post after.

Sunday Morning

My best friend Kayla and I went to see No Doubts "reunion" tour last night. I'm SO glad shes home. It was REALLY good. We did it kinda last minute, and paid ten dollars more for lawn seats, but it was totally worth it. Gwen was fucking ripped man. I can only hope I'm that hot at the age of 32 after having two kids. They were truely a band, they even gave mad props to the keyboardists (they kinda do everything, but they did a lot of beats, and horns. so awesome). It was pretty great. They played mostly return of saturn stuff it felt like, but now that I think about it, did a lot of Tragic Kingdom. I was hoping they might play at least one song from Beacon Street but they didn't. But you know its ok cause they completely ruled when playing Sunday morning. I think its my new favorite No Doubt song. That's kinda a big deal.

YARDWORK!

yardwork is playing tonight. this is what im wearing. im pretty proud of this outfit, i bought this skirt from urban outfitters a long time ago and it never looked good. i played around with it a bit and ended up wearing it high waisted and putting the bow thats supposed to be on the side on the back. i dig it. worn with express tank dress, thrifted jean jacket, and shark tooth necklace. and eventually anthropologie sandals.

so today is my mom and my brothers b day. mmhm. specical. we know. so to celebrate, im taking them to rusans, a tastey sushi place, its kinda famous.

tomorrow i have to wake up at the crack of dawn to take my mom to the airport and then drive rachael back to asheville. i might be meeting up with my weaving teacher, christy, who is working at a mill in herdersonville if im lucky. if nothing else, rach and i will get to see UP for free. yippeee!

the urban outfitters there has the most amazing building on king street. extemely high ceilings, massive amounts of chandeliers, coffered entry way, and they support local artists. what more could you want?

so i got my tarrot cards read by the lovely val gal today, and it told me i would be overwhelmed with love. it did not say however that it would be with this amazing piece of lycra. OH EM GEE to sa the least. i have found it. i am complete. the search is over. and i might even be able to get a discount.

home sweet home

mmm sweet sweet humid sticky south. oh how i have missed you. i arrived in NC today. I dont really know what to do with myself until this weekend when ill be driving all over and picking up friends to go to the beach and back. honestly, i cant wait. expect more outfit posts until i go to europe. oh, and some value village love. tonight i was looking at blogs and stuff, and kinda thinking, is this for me? really? do i want to try to associate with all this bullshit? and then i kept looking, and kept thinking, and i tought, hell yeah i do, cause i do everything just a little bit differently then they do. and thats what i need to keep remembering, ill do it.

p.s. people keep mentioning that i look like a boy, or as my friend adrian put it, ' justs a young chap' so you know what, maybe i do, and maybe this picture proves it.

hey everyone, im so sorry that I have been such a BAD BLOGGER. My brother graduated this weekend and I had half our family staying at my house. NOW I have to pack up and move by MONDAY and try to get my $800 security deposit back from my old landlord who is the devil. I'll make up for lost time once I'm back home in NC I promise! Oh and by the way, IM GOIGN TO EUROPE THIS SUMMER!!! June 13th, Paris here I come!
