good day/hair up
Nothing is better than going into a critique that you think is totally going to suck, and then coming out of it totally reassured. GNARLYYY. Not to mention its my weekend time now. Sure, its gross out, but at least the high isn't negative one. OH YEAH.
Man, totally realizing how shitty my pictures look. New Camera??
I also now realize how embarrassing the photos i took the other day were. sometimes you just get caught up in being with yourself and the camera you know? creepy yes, but you know its true. i'll try to work on that...
currently (as in these past few minutes) obsessed with this song. especially her movements inthe beginning and her ooo ooo's.
I also would really really REALLY like my hair to grow a little faster so I could PUHLEAZE have a bun like this.

playin hookie
I stayed home sick today. I was out of it most of the time. I really hope I don't have the flu. Though I was kinda achey. Anyways, I just wore whatever, and this is what happened.
I really want to "pimp out" so to speak these shoes. I don't wear them that often but they make me feel super cool, as you might be able to tell. I kinda want to model them after these men's shoes from Armiani. The guy that lived in my apartment before is on their mailing list and so I get really excited when I get to look through whatever he gets.
So I can't find a picture of them but they might have been gold, and they had leather fringe on them. Oh yes. Amazing.

hello dolly
oooh what a wonderful day. I had my meeting with off campus ops today, and man oh man are my chances lookin good to go to CCA next semester!!! ooooh yeahhhhh. SUPER STOKED!! Therefore, the rest of the day had a beautiful undertone to it. Then I went to jazz class and we talked about Louis Armstrong. I now think I'm as in love him as the rest of the world. I also learned an interesting fact about New Orleans jazz musicians in the early 1900's. Rumor has it that the style was to wear your red flannel long underware underneath all your other clothes, the collar would therefore poke out around your neckline, and out of the bottom of your pant legs. Talk about amazing for lack of a better word. I've been searching for a picture of it but I have yet to find an equally amazing picture. But here are a few of the legand himself.

(image found on google)I highly recommend listening to the 1926 version of "The Stampede" by Fletcher Henderson's Orchestra. That was the band Armstong joined shortly after being in King Olivers Creole Band in Chicago, when and where his career begain at the ripe old age of 18( he was actually 17 but lyed to get out of New Orleans) ANYWAYS. If you want to know anything about Louis Armstrong, you should learn West End Blues. This song changed not only the world of jazz, but probably every musician ever. I know right?! Believe it.

Installation
Today I re-installed a project I had made about a year ago. The title is Ladder;Net. I'm working on a portfolio to go to CCA next year (California College of the Arts in OK) and my friends Eric and Rus were kind enough to help me. Thanks for taking those sweet phots Eric!

Rus is wearing AA pants and hoodie, and a thrifted shirt. I'm wearing a DIY circle scarf and old navy jeans with target mocs

aaaaand GO
This is the beginning of something that could be quite beautiful. So here I go, without trying to be over ambitious, or overly self conscious. After all, that's not what true style s about. In fact, style seems to be the complete opposite of that. Mostly I'll post my outfits and some inspiration, as well as some of my own art work (oh yeah). I'll try to keep it focused and all the while entertaining/addictive. Let the good times roll right?
What I wore today:
(target mocs, seven for all mankind jeans-altered and completely loved, mens collared shirt from the navy, old navy sweater, vest found in abandoned house-r.i.p., vintage perry ellis scarf)
I swear I'm not really pigeon toed.
