Begin crit week....

It's crunch time. Sorry for the lack of posts, but then again I'm kinda a Thursday through Sunday kinda blogger. Anywoo, I'm home today cause its pretty threatening outside today. Also because all I've been doing is weaving, and needless to say, I do have other classes. Therefore, I am forcing myself to do those today from home. Aaaaand here I am blogging. After this...straight to work. Video editing and then a Project runway marathon as I finish my 30 illustrations. Away we go...

the Kurt Cobain to my Courtney Love

I'm totally planning on listening to this song on the train as I go downtown for my last day of school.

18 more days until summer....

The Stylish Interview

How did you get started?

My aunt and mom took special interest in their clothes so I grew up around all of that, and then I started following blogs like The Clothes Horse and Karlas Closet and wanted to start my own.

What is your favorite post/feature you have done thus far?

I loved my hat post. That was a lot of fun, to write and to take pictures of. I love love love hats. (http://thestylishwanderer.blogspot.com/2009/04/my-hats-off-to-you.html)

How do you think blogging effects the fashion world and or real world, if at all? Well fashion blogging is such a big deal in fashion already. I mean, look at all the bloggers getting emails from designers, and actually going to shows. I think we are totally the revolution. We are the new generation of designers, stylists, photographers and editors.

I'd like to think I'm included in that ;)

How would you describe your blogging style?

How would YOU describe my blogging style? I really have no idea!

What was your favorite collection and/or piece that came out of NYFW this year?

I really liked Diano von Furstenberg but I think my favorite is ADAM by Adam Lippes. I could just imagine wearing EVERYTHING in that collection and looking fantastic. It was just so wearable.

What do you think of body modification i.e. tattoo's, even hair dying, as an extension of fashion? or do you?

I think that hair dying is pretty tricky because you could easily regret it. I like tattoos except in moderation, like a small one on your wrist or something, but I hate full arm or full head or full body etc tattoos.

What, if anything, are you hoping to accomplish through the use of blogging?
Just meeting people all around the world and enjoying experiences and learning more about my style.

What are you thinking beyond blogging i.e. profession wise or otherwise?
Id love to know how designing a garment works, like how it can go from the pen to the actual fabric. I also am such an avid reader of all sorts of magazines, Id LOVE to know how a magazine works. But, seriously, I don't know!

Any big plans this summer?

Maybe get some sort of tan, I'm going to San Fran I think as well, and just enjoy the sunshine!

Favorite movies?

Catch Me If You Can, Little Miss Sunshine, You've Got Mail, and Bullets Over Broadway.

What inspires you most?
Definitely other blogs.

What music, if any, are you into right now?

Jason Mraz. I learned about him about 5 years ago but now I'm really into him. And Vampire Weekend. MGMT. Ra Ra Riot. A lot of classical too. OH! And Coldplay's Viva La Vida album

Favorite snacks?

Ice cream!

What do you do when you’re not blogging?

Reading, playing piano or violin, taking pictures, watching TV, doing homework and trying to be social.

Favorite store?
Borders bookstore or Goodwill, oh wait...no! Opening Ceremony in LA. Hands down.

And that about wraps it up! What a gal hm? I'm so glad She was able to answer a few questions. Thanks so much Girlie! Keep up the good work!!

Now I'm going to enjoy the rest of my Saturday, which includes a massive thunderstorm. I can't believe I'm saying this, but spring has officially arrived in Chicago <3>
