I am going to try and make a pact with myself. Recently, I have been over come with harsh yearnings for the things I cannot have, i.e. $75 Channel sunglasses on ebay. Tonight I was sucked into the internet and the world of fashion blogs. Let's face it, we all know this is a deep dark spiral. Tonight, however, I have been largely inspired by (as you may have noticed) girls who are NOT in with the mainstream. They don't have a million fans and may not be from the US. Which is honestly, quite refreshing. After reviewing every post ever made by them as my eyes slowly glazed over, I was also looking back inside myself. I have gotten a bit caught up, its true. Those $300 floral docs are testement. Granted, those were/are a good investment. But we all know how gateway drugs work. So I'll get to the point, I want to make a STRONG effort to only shop at thrift stores or vintage shops from now on, or better yet, DO IT MYSELF. That way I won't get sucked into fads, I won't be contributing to uselless fashions or possestions, and I won't be emptying my piggy bank three times a week and having to borrow from my savings! I know, I know, it's going to be hard, but I really really think I can do it. I did it in middle school, so why not now?
Thank you for your support. We can do it together.

on the real, plus we only have so much time to punk out before it's too late and we're old and we have some semblance of pride or too much self-awareness to let ourselves go
